Our commitment to sustainability has led to the development of our new Ocean Edition range. During manufacture imperfect colours and patterns are often created which cannot be sold to stores. Preferring to reuse rather than recycle where possible, we have collaborated with Bracenet, using ghost net for the loop at the rear of the helmet, turning these unique helmets into a fun range that also gives back to the oceans.

10% of every purchase will support valuable marine conservation work via Healthy Seas and the Seabin Project.

Due to the unpredictable nature of this colour blend manufacture, we cannot guarantee you will receive the same design as pictured. Your helmet will be picked in the same colourway, but we cannot guarantee that you will receive the exact pattern shown here.

More Information

Dashel helmets are perfect for cycling or scooting, with a cap-like peak, longest permitted to safety standards, that allows you to keep your eye on the road and protects from rain or shine.

The ghost net carry loop at the rear of the helmet is perfect for clipping lights onto for extra visibility on the road.

Safe, slim and lightweight. The helmet has 5 air vents and comes with 2 sizes of Dashel's signature range of coolmax pads, which wick away sweat and are machine washable, to ensure long-lasting comfort. They also allow you to tailor the fit of the helmet to your exact head shape.

Dashel is committed to reducing waste so your helmet will be posted to you in a recyclable cardboard box with a recycled and reusable drawstring bag as its packaging. Perfect for carrying it about when off the bike. Don’t leave bike helmets secured to bikes as bumps and knocks when out of sight could damage the EPS liner inside.

This helmet is manufactured in the UK from recyclable ABS and EPS foam. Dashel will recycle it for you (in return for money off a subsequent purchase) when it's time for a new one, using our UK supply chain.

We recommend replacing your Re-Cycle Helmet every 5 years, or immediately if you have had a crash.

How to pick the right size +

Measuring and fitting

Measuring your head

Measure the widest part around your head – this is usually approx. 1cm above your ears. If you don’t have a flexible tape measure just use a piece of string or ribbon and find a ruler.

The 2 models of Dashel helmets come in different sizes. If in doubt we would recommend going up a size:

Dashel Cycle Helmet
Small (S): 54-56cm
Medium (M): 57-59cm
Large (L): 60-62cm

Carbon Fibre Edition
Medium (M): 57cm - 58.5cm
Large (L): 59cm - 61cm

How to Fit your Helmet

Place the helmet on your head, push it down ensuring it sits level 1-2 cm above your eyebrows and does not tilt too far backwards or forwards. The helmet should feel snug but not constricting. Use the comfort pads to adapt it to your size

Tighten the chin strap, the 'Y' shape should fit just below your ears. The Fidlock clasp must sit under the chin and not on the jawbone.

Make sure the strap feels comfortable but secure. You should not be able to get more than one finger between your chin and the strap.

How to Achieve the Perfect fit

Also included with your purchase is a set of black 10mm wide pads. The silver pads already in your helmet are just 5mm thick. For a tailor made fit, mix and match according to whether your head is narrow, high or round.

The pads are just to make the helmet as comfortable as possible. They do
not contribute to the performance of your helmet in a crash, if you wish to
remove some completely then do so.

Remember a cycle helmet can only protect you it if fits properly. The helmet should feel snug but not constricting and sit level 1-2 cm above your eyebrows. Do not tilt it too far backwards or forwards. The Fidlock clasp
must sit under the chin and not on the jawbone. You should not be able to get more than one finger between your chin and the strap.
