FAQ
If you would like to exchange, or return the helmet purchased from www.dashel.co.uk then you can return it within 60 days, providing it is in its original packaging, the tags are still attached and the helmet is unused. Full details can be found on our Delivery & Returns page.
The Carbon Fibre Edition has a liner that doesn’t degrade over time. The Re-Cycle helmet needs replacing every 5 years (the liner and shell will be recycled). Both models must be replaced after a crash.
The Carbon Fibre Edition is handmade by craftspeople in small batches via moulds and is on average 40-50 grams lighter per size. The Re-Cycle helmet is injection moulded (made by machine). Both are manufactured in the UK.
The Re-Cycle helmet is fitted with an integrated dial fit system whereas the Carbon Fibre Edition has a pad fit system.
A big part of the Dashel ethos is maintaining a sustainable and transparent supply chain, even (or especially!) as we grow. We have a factory in Cornwall where the helmets are assembled, and we try to source our parts as locally as possible. Read this blog post for more information.
Yes. Please note Dashel Cycle Helmets have been tested to EN1078 - The European Standard. Dashel Cycle Helmets are therefore only intended for use in Europe and any use outside this territory will be at your own risk and we disclaim all liability thereto.
The helmet has 5 vent holes – these aren’t always easy to see in photographs.
Yes, if there is demand. If your head is larger than 61cm and you'd like a Dashel, send us a message via the contact page and we’ll register your interest.
We plan to launch a line specifically for children in future (though our current size small fits a 54-56cm head so will fit many children). EN1078 means the helmet is suitable for cycling and scooting. Check sizing here before ordering.
